How to use Viropil® tablet?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Viropil® Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Viropil® Tablet.
Pregnancy
Viropil® Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the fetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Viropil® Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Viropil® Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Viropil® Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Viropil® Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Viropil® Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Expert Advice
- Viropil® Tablet is used to treat HIV infection.
- Skipping doses increases the risk of treatment failure. Make sure that you take all your doses at the correct time.
- Take it on an empty stomach, preferably at bedtime.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of hepatitis B infection.
- Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- It may cause a decrease in your calcium levels. Your doctor may monitor calcium and Vitamin D levels regularly and prescribe supplements, if needed.
- Your doctor may monitor your liver function regularly during treatment. Inform your doctor if you notice yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or stomach pain.
