Tinidazole is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as infection of the intestines or vagina. It is also used to treat certain sexually transmitted infections.

Solosec wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van een bepaald type vaginale infectie (bacteriële vaginose). Secnidazole is een antibioticum dat de groei van bacteriën tegenhoudt. Dit antibioticum behandelt alleen bacteriële infecties. Het werkt niet bij virale infecties (zoals verkoudheid, griep).
